Dingle Goats Cheese
Pasteurised Farmhouse Goats Cheese
Hand made at our dairy situated in the heart of the Dingle Peninsula, using the freshest goats' milk from our herd that freely graze on herbs, flowers and wild grasses - all of which add to the unique flavour and nutritional value of our cheese.
About
Dingle Goats Cheese evolved from the love of our first two goats, Molly and Summer.
My husband Shane and I are blessed to have two wonderful children: Maryanne (9) and Joseph (7). When they were toddlers, Molly & Summer came to stay π π
We hand-milk our goats regardless of the weather conditions, and over time our herd has grown substantially. As a result, we started to have an excess supply of high-quality goat's milk that motivated us to venture into cheesemaking. Through our journey, we developed a strong bond with fellow goat farmers and cheese makers across Ireland, constantly learning and expanding our knowledge. Our herd currently consists of a mix of Saanen, British Alpine, Boer, Nubian, and Toggenburg goats.
Our farmhouse is located at Inch, in the heart of the perfectly picturesque Dingle Peninsula and just 30-minutes drive from the towns of Killarney, Tralee and Dingle. We have worked hard developing our milking parlour and cheese production facilities. In March 2019, we were confirmed to have met the highest standards of the Department Of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Today, we supply Dingle Goats Cheese to hotels, restaurants, local shops and supermarkets.
In October 2019, we were delighted to win Gold for our cheese in the Blas na hEireann Food Awards. We were over the moon to be awarded Gold once again in 2020 πIf you would like to learn more about Dingle Goats Cheese, please get in touch!
Nutrition
We've all heard the aphorism that you are what you eat. Increasingly, we're seeing the power of the foods that we eat to support, regulate and repair our bodies. Dingle Goats Cheese is committed to full transparency around the quality of the products it provides.
With this in mind, our soft goats cheese was tested by Eurofins in November 2020. The results are presented below. Bearing in mind the seasonality of the forage that our goats are free to graze upon, we will run more tests at the end of the next season.
